History
For several decades from the early 1960’s, New Brighton had a unique offering. It was the only place in Christchurch where general retail shops could be open on a Saturday, and as a result businesses thrived and the place was vibrant.

Saturdays is a historical embodiment of the place that will remind people of the fun, lively place New Brighton once was and hopefully will once again become.
This café is a celebration of Saturdays, and what Saturdays meant to a community of people in Christchurch.
Saturdays aims at providing the best quality food, drinks and service to our friendly customers. It is a good place where children play, people relax, and friends meet.
